近年来致力于环境化学与毒理学、分子生态学、水生生物学领域的相关研究工作。2006年自厦门大学获得海洋生物学专业博士学位后,先后在厦门大学近海海洋环境科学国家重点实验室、加州大学洛杉矶分校医学院从事相关领域的博士后研究工作。2008年至至今,在亚星221net环境与化工学院工作。到目前为止,相关研究成果发表在本研究领域国内外核心期刊(包括《内分泌学》、《环境科学与技术》、《水生毒理学》、《毒理学与应用药理学》、《比较生物化学和生理学》、《环境毒理学与化学》、《生态毒理学与环境安全》等)50余篇,其中包括3篇高倍引论文。主持2项国家自然科学基金项目和1项国家科技重大专项分课题,参与2项国家自然科学基金重点项目的研究工作,在利用水生动物模式生物和现代分子生物学技术解决环境科学、毒理学和生态学领域的实际问题方面具有丰富的科研经验。

近年来关注的研究领域包括:雌激素类环境内分泌干扰物的免疫毒性和神经毒性效应与致毒机理、个人护理用品和药物类污染物对水生生物的毒性效应与致毒机理、级联筑坝对水库沉积物中微生物群落的影响、纳米材料环境应用的风险评价。
